Guardianship

At Anglo Connection, we are proud to be a family-oriented organisation with over 20 years of experience not only in guardianship, but also in delivering language and cultural programs for international students in the UK

Excellence in guardianship, confidence for families

Our journey began when Marisa, originally from Spain, moved to Plymouth and quickly realised how many international students needed more than just supervision — they needed warmth, care, and meaningful integration into British life. This inspired her to create a service that combined high-quality guardianship with opportunities to improve language skills and build confidence in a new environment.

Marisa is married to a British man and is the proud mother of three bilingual children, now grown up and enjoying thriving international careers — a testament to the power of language and cultural openness.

Over the years, Anglo Connection has grown through personal recommendations, with many families staying in touch for years. The lifelong connections we build are a reflection of our genuine commitment to the students we care for.

Whether it’s through our guardianship support or our enriching linguistic and cultural programs, our mission remains the same: to help young people feel at home, thrive in their studies, and grow into confident global citizens.

Why Choose Us?

We follow strict safeguarding procedures, work only with vetted host families, and have obtained AEGIS certification, demonstrating our commitment to excellence and child protection.

Family-Oriented, Personally Invested

We are a small, family-run organisation that takes a personal interest in every student. Your child is not a number — they’re part of our extended family.

International Perspective

Founded by Marisa, a Spanish native now settled in the UK and married to a British man, we understand the challenges of adapting to a new culture and language. We support both students and parents with warmth and empathy.

More Than Guardianship

In addition to our dedicated guardianship services, we offer language, cultural, and holiday programs that enrich students’ time in the UK — from city trips to Spain exchanges and Swiss ski camps.

Trusted by Families

Our reputation has grown almost entirely through word-of-mouth recommendations. Many students and parents stay connected with us for life — a testament to the trust and care we provide.

Each program is carefully planned to balance education, cultural discovery, and fun, while ensuring students are always safe, supported, and supervised.

These experiences often become the highlight of a student’s year — creating lasting friendships and unforgettable memories.

Trips & Holiday Programs

At Anglo Connection, school breaks are more than time off — they’re a chance to explore, grow, and enjoy new experiences in a safe, supportive environment. We offer tailor-made programs during half terms and school holidays, giving our students the chance to:

  • Enjoy cultural trips to Spain, perfect for reconnecting with family or practicing language skills
  • Take part in exciting ski camps in Switzerland, combining sport, fun, and friendship in a stunning alpine setting
